Objectives, activities and expected/achieved results |
This project aims to develop and implement a digital platform to improve the management of uncontaminated soil in Portugal, promoting the circular economy and the efficient management of this resource. This platform will enable the pairing of projects that produce uncontaminated excavated soil from construction works and projects that need soil for landfill on site, namely to raise the ground level. This technological solution will make it possible to create the first formal market for uncontaminated excavated soil, guaranteeing, wherever possible, the existence of a destination that optimizes the management of this resource and reduces the costs associated with soil transport. The project aims to create a new purpose with the potential to valorize this waste in the form of a construction by-product, guaranteeing its circularity and contributing to the sustainability of the uncontaminated soil market in Portugal.
